Fence Field Project
BayCISS Castlefield Community Centre

This project aimed to increase the presence and location of the Castlefield Community Centre. Visual weaving on the outside fences in Bluff rd. created a ‘point of contact, reference and place identity’ for the Castlefield Community Centre. The concept and designs for the weaving were developed with community members at several meetings and finished by textile artist Janis Morgan. There will be opportunities for community members to learn the techniques and skills of fence weaving and be part of the ‘construction’ days when the weaving designs emerged.
